Tell us a little about yourself. How did you start Dailyhawker?
I started Dailyhawker.com on my own in 2017. Now it has a team of 25 people, both developers and writers. At present I am running 4 country versions and have a fifth on the way.
Dailyhawker.com.au, starting soon.
How are you making and/or obtaining the content for your site?
Our whole team works from home and on a freelancing basis. So, sites do not have any burden and liability. This has been a positive factor behind our growth.
How have you marketed your business? Is this purely an SEO play or are you running ads?
All Dailyhawker sites run completely on SEO and organic traffic.
How much time does it take to run the business, who else is needed on the team, and what is automated?
Everything is completely organized and the new owner can run the site with the same setup.
The business only needs one SEO person who can assign topics to writers based on search volume and competition. I can keep providing support to the new owner if he wants.
One site needs 20-30 mins per day.
Can you list a few opportunities for a potential new owner to continue growing the business?
There is a high scope of growth if we publish more content on our sites. It can reach up to 1M users per month with 2 years of work, which would result in $15-16K net profit per month.
The current business model is only blogging and the maximum revenue comes from sponsored posts and ads.
New services and products can also be started. Mortgage, Stocks, Forex, Writing Services, Web development Services, Website designing services. Being multi niche sites are suitable to start any product or service.
I can provide guidance about these things.
My team can continue providing services if the new owner wants to grow more.
So far sites are running on SEO only. Social media channels are still there to be exploited to get more traffic.
