Featured here is a content site based around micro-greens! Excuse the pun, but it’s an evergreen niche and the owner/creator built this site quite some time ago and let’s it run itself at this point and it’s doing really well as a completely passive opportunity. If you put in a bit of work, this one could grow exponentially.

Tell us a little about yourself. What sort of experience do you have building content sites?

My name is Aaron, I have been in the SEO and marketing-related industry since 2015. I bootstrapped a digital marketing firm, a small startup in Malaysia, but now ceased in operation due to the recent coronavirus crisis. You can check my linkedIn for more. Apart from that, I owned more than 10 websites personally, half of them were sold. The one MicroVeggy.com listing there is one of them. Over the years, I developed my own white-hat method of doing the SEO, so there is no concern about getting penalized by Google or rank dropped over the years. Hope that clarified. Cheers!

Your visits / views have tripled since December. How did that happen?

I have literally left the site untouched since January 2019, but login occasionally to update the plugins. It’s actually quite normal for the site traffic to go up and down over time. Partly is due to Google algorithm updates which happened almost every single day. The other reason being this evergreen niche is still in its strong growing phase, or exploding period, that people started to get involved in doing the microgreens. Perhaps, it is also because of the recent lockdown. Anyway, you can check the Google Trend to see the exponential searching trend.

As a percentage, how does your revenue break down between ads, affiliate sales, and your eBook?

From my last earnings report. It’s about 45% Amazon, 52% Ezoic, 3%eBook. The figure may change a bit due to the recent Amazon changing in its commision structure, and also a good advertisement increment switching from Adsense to Ezoic.

If you were going to put time into the business, what would you do to help it grow?

If I would push the site to the next level, I have to add more quality content. Apart from that, I probably will have to do a few things more to diversify the income stream such as starting to get social traffic, email marketing traffic, paid ads, and more.
